Karen Devincent | Owner & Makeup Artist
Karen is the owner and founder of the beauty cafe. She created the beauty cafe in 2007 with a vision that has evolved through the years …staying ahead of the curve to ensure her clients always get the most up to date beauty products and services, ensuring that they receive the best experience every time they walk through the door. She is a licensed cosmetologist and professional makeup artist with over 30 years of experience in the beauty industry.

Karen Devincent | Owner
Throughout her career, she has worked with prestigious brands such as Lancôme, Chanel, NARS, Yves Saint Laurent , Shu Uemura, and Trish McEvoy. Her talent has been showcased in high-end retail settings including Bloomingdale’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, Henri Bendel, Neiman Marcus, Barneys New York, Louis of Boston, and the Chanel boutique on Newbury Street. Karen specializes in makeup for bridal, editorial, fashion photography, print, and television. Her work has been featured in several magazines and on TV. Karen is a total perfectionist with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for making women look and feel amazing. She’s always in the loop with the latest beauty trends but doesn’t believe in one-size-fits-all looks—her magic lies in celebrating what makes each woman uniquely beautiful and bringing that to life with every brushstroke. Since graduating from Catherine Hinds in 2006, Kristen has built her expertise in facials, spray tanning, lash and brow services, and waxing. Kim Burtman | Esthetician
Kim Burtman has 25+ years in the medical, esthetician and body sculpting fields within the beauty technology industry. Most recently her focus has been on Endosphere and Cryoskin Therapies for the total body. Aleah Heald | Hair Stylist
Aleah first discovered her passion for hair when she enrolled in the cosmetology program at the Medford Vocational Technical High School in 2011. She then received her State Board Cosmetology license, applied to her first salon job & immediately fell in love.What truly sets Aleah apart is her ability to connect with clients on a deeper level. Understanding not just their hair goals but getting to know them as a person & creating everlasting friendships along the way. By listening with empathy & offering personalized recommendations, Aleah creates a salon experience that is as transformative as it is memorable. Denise has dedicated her life to the art of hair styling, demonstrating a profound commitment to her craft and her clients. With a rich career that spans nearly four decades, she has honed her skills and adapted to the ever-evolving world of beauty. Her journey began with her graduation from the Melrose Beauty Academy in 1985, marking the start of a remarkable professional path. Denise enjoys applying different highlighting techniques, coloring hair with low-ammonia, vegan, oil-based products, and cutting hair to help her clients feel confident and beautiful. There is something incredibly fulfilling for her when someone feels and looks good after a haircut. Her passion for hair styling drives her to constantly evolve and stay current with new trends and techniques.
Cassandra Morrill | FNP-BC
Board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner & Aesthetic Injector Cassandra (Cassy) Morrill, FNP-BC, is the owner of Fresh Face Rx located inside of The Beauty Cafe. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and an experienced Aesthetic Injector. With over 10 years as a nurse and nurse practitioner at Boston Children’s Hospital and two years in aesthetic medicine, Cassy has a passion for beauty and wellness. She believes in a holistic approach to achieving beauty, from within, and a little help on the outside. Cassy’s goal is to keep clients’ goals top of mind and provide natural results. Her approach is minimalistic and consistent. Her services include vitamin supplementation, skincare consultations, injectable treatments, and medical facial treatments such as chemical peels and collagen induction therapy. She is known for her warmth and relationship with her patients. Her favorite injectable treatments include Botox and PRP. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and staying active.
